If you’re looking for something to do in Chicago on Saturday night, two popular attractions in the city will not be available to you because of cold conditions.

The Navy Pier Centennial Wheel is currently closed due to the cold, with temperatures hovering around zero degrees and wind chills plunging well below zero. The wheel also closed due to cold earlier in the week, and with more cold in the forecast, there is a chance for more closures.

The Christkindlmarket at the Park at Wrigley will close at 6 p.m. due to the cold, according to the market’s Twitter feed. The Christkindlmarket will celebrate its final day on Sunday, so those interested in attending will only have one more chance this year.

A Wind Chill Advisory, which was in effect for the Chicago area earlier Saturday, has expired, but a new one has been issued for Sunday, with cold temperatures expected to remain in the area through New Year’s Day. The low temperature on Jan. 1 could reach minus-7, according to the NBC 5 Storm Team forecast, and the high temperature is forecasted to rise to just seven degrees, which would threaten to set a new record for the holiday.
