Police Raid Skokie Home, $3 Million Worth of Marijuana Found Inside

A man was arrested after police say they found more than $3 million worth of marijuana in a Skokie residence Thursday.

According to authorities, David Gutierrez was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Thursday after police found an estimated total of 423 pounds of cannabis inside his home on the 4800 block of North Kirk Street following a search warrant.

In addition to the cannabis, officials said they also found four handguns, a shotgun and a large amount of cash.

Gutierrez was taken into custody and charged with one felony count of manufacturing/delivering cannabis, five misdemeanour counts of unlawful use of weapon and one misdemeanour count of possession of a controlled substance.

Gutierrez is expected to appear in court on Saturday.
