Two women and an infant were found dead inside a Joliet home by firefighters on Saturday after an early morning fire.

The blaze, which was so intense that firefighters couldn’t enter the building when they arrived, was eventually extinguished, and it was then that rescuers found the three victims inside.

According to Joliet fire officials, there is still no word on what started the blaze, which occurred on Center Street in Joliet around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
