12-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing From South Austin Neighborhood

A 12-year-old girl was reported missing by Chicago Police on Sunday night.

The girl, identified as Destiny Gilbert, left her home on the 600 block of North Pine in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. According to a police report, Gilbert left the house without permission.

According to the police report, the missing girl may have gone to the area of Kedzie and Jackson, and citizens are being encouraged to call police if they see her.

Gilbert, who stands 5-foot-3 and weighs 120 pounds, was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. She may also be wearing a head band with black cat ears on it.
