A man was shot in the chest in Schaumburg Monday and police say they are looking for at least one but possibly two suspects.

The victim, in his late 30s or early 40s, was found in a Walgreens parking lot on Roselle Road about 5:20 p.m. The crime scene spills out onto one of the busiest streets in Schaumburg.

Witnesses say a man was laying on the ground. Police say he was shot nearby, ran to the street and collapsed.

Witness Danielle Johnson described the incident “disheartening and scary.”

“I have a young family,” she said.

Police say there is no danger to the public.
