Man, 86, Fatally Struck by Car in Morton Grove

An 86-year-old man was struck by a car and killed as he crossed the street Friday evening in the north suburbs, police said.

The man was fatally hit in Morton Grove while attempting to cross Shermer Road and Greenwood Avenue about 5 p.m., police said.

Police said they are looking for information from drivers or witneses who may have been in the area between 5 and 5:20 p.m.
