The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday. Temps in the low to mid 20s will result in drizzle freezing on contact with untreated surfaces. Some ice may accumulate on roads sidewalks.

Areas impacted by the freezing drizzle are Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, LaSalle, Kendall, Grundy and Will counties in Illinois. Lake and Porter counties in Indiana will also likely be impacted.

Slippery roads will impact the morning commute. Drivers should slow down and use caution while driving.
