The Chicago Cubs will host their annual Convention at the Sheraton this weekend, but during an offseason with plenty of storylines, fans will not get to hear from the team’s ownership.

According to multiple reports, the Ricketts family will not hold a question-and-answer panel at the annual Convention. The family has come under criticism recently for their political donations, the decision to likely create a Cubs television network, and for the team’s lack of willingness this offseason to spend money on free agents.

While big-name players like Kris Bryant and Javier Baez will be at the Convention, other stars like Anthony Rizzo and Jon Lester will not be in Chicago for the weekend event.

For a full list of players that will be at the convention, fans can visit the Cubs’ website.
