A man was found severely burned behind a business in a suburban strip mall Friday, police said.

Oswego police said officers found a man Friday morning in the 2500 block of Route 34 who “appeared to have been severely burned.”

The man was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Details on what might have happened to him remained unclear.

Police said an investigation into the incident was ongoing.
