Two teenagers were shot in suburban Palatine late Sunday night, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Green Lane for a report of gunshots at around 11:45 p.m., Palatine police said in a statement.

Responding officers found a 19-year-old and a 15-year-old boy who had sustained gunshot wounds, officials said. Authorities said both victims were taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with injuries that were not though to be life-threatening.

Police said the shooting appeared to be a targeted, isolated incident. The victims were outside an apartment when someone who evidently knew them pulled up in a car and opened fire before fleeing the scene, according to police.

No one was in custody in connection with the shooting, according to police, who continue to investigate.
