A man who allegedly pointed a gun at a woman outside a Walmart in west suburban St. Charles has been arrested, police said in a news release issued Friday.

The incident was reported at approximately 10:17 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart located at 150 Smith Road. 

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect on Friday afternoon. According to investigators, the victim ran back into the store after the suspect pointed the gun at her.

The suspect, identified as Frederick Murphy, 61, entered a vehicle that was parked in a nearby handicapped space, and left the area in an unknown direction.

Murphy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
