An Oregon man has been convicted of sexual abusing three young children over a period of seven years while he babysat them at an apartment complex over a decade ago, prosecutors said Monday.

Louis Howard Johnson, 58, repeatedly abused the three children sexually while he worked as a manager at the Tigarden Apartments in Tigard, Oregon, from 1997 to the late 2000s, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office said.

Johnson and his wife had babysat several children during that time, including the three victims in the case, according to prosecutors.

The abuse remained unreported until May 2019, when one of the victims contacted Tigard police and detailed the abuse she endured, the district attorney’s office said.
